The first thing I want to do is set up a couple of tables, one inside the other, to hold my pictures and text. Think of tables as little boxes that you can put stuff into. That’s just scary. 9 months ago
There is a fancier way of laying out a Web site, called Cascading Style Sheets, and Nvu supports it, but for simple sites it seems like overkill. Tables have been used for years for basic Web page layout tasks, and they are quick and easy to set up— exactly what I need.

Tumbling to FriendFeed
I’ve been debating back and forth for a while now between using Tumblr or FriendFeed as my personal aggregator. Basically, I’ve had most of my key feeds going into both places, and then injecting a little bit of additional content into each service, depending on what it is.
I’ve made the decision to cut over to FriendFeed as my primary aggregation point, and removed all incoming feeds (and their content, which was a pain) from my Tumblog. I’ll continue to post additional items on Tumblr as sort of an injection point, at least until FriendFeed makes it easier to post images and video.
