Decent open source HTML editor… check.

Write magazine article about using editor to create web pages… check.

Build Drupal website to post online versions of articles… check.

Post article as PDF attachment to Drupal node… WUT?

It gets worse. From the article text:

The first thing I want to do is set up a couple of tables, one inside the other, to hold my pictures and text. Think of tables as little boxes that you can put stuff into.

There is a fancier way of laying out a Web site, called Cascading Style Sheets, and Nvu supports
it, but for simple sites it seems like overkill. Tables have been used for years for basic Web page layout tasks, and they are quick and easy to set up— exactly what I need.

That’s just scary.

Youth Summer Camp 2008: The Lost World 4000 B.C. at...

Youth Summer Camp 2008: The Lost World 4000 B.C. at Cornerstone Church of Highland, MI

Basically, I’ve had most of my key feeds going into both places, and then injecting a little bit of additional content into each service, depending on what it is.

I’ve made the decision to cut over to FriendFeed as my primary aggregation point, and removed all incoming feeds (and their content, which was a pain) from my Tumblog. I’ll continue to post additional items on Tumblr as sort of an injection point, at least until FriendFeed makes it easier to post images and video.

This year’s theme is “First Things First.” It is taken from the first and greatest commandment in the Bible: To love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Jesus is to be our first love. Jesus is to be our first pursuit. Jesus is to be our first passion. Jesus is to be the first place in our heart, our home, and our church. Let us believe God, surrender to Him and come open to receive all He has in store for us.

Trying Out FriendFeed

Trying Out FriendFeed:
Trying FriendFeed as an alternative or supplement to tumblr.

Leningrad Cowboys & Red Army Choir - SWEET HOME ALABAMA

Leningrad Cowboys & Red Army Choir - SWEET HOME ALABAMA

Video: Twitter in Plain English - The CommonCraft Show

Video: Twitter in Plain English - The CommonCraft Show

Ignited Conference 2008: An epic youth ministry training event....

Ignited Conference 2008: An epic youth ministry training event. As it turns out, I didn’t really find it until I started browsing links today.

Check out Zack Kim. This guy has mastered the skill normally associated with piano players of keeping one hand from knowing what the other is doing. To that end, his specialty is playing duets on two guitars simultaneously, one with each hand. His most popular video by far is the Super Mario theme, but I really liked his rendition of Girl from Ipanema, too.

Removing Twitter Feed from my Tumblog

I just decided to remove my twitter feed from here. It’s just too redundant, and twitter @replies don’t make any sense when imported into this stream.

I’ve made too many aggregate feeds for my stuff anyway. No sense in putting it here. Tweets worth repeating here are probably worth posting here (or duplicate posting) anyway.

Lightsaber vs Flail test.
